Becoming an officer in the Indian Army is a dream for many. The Indian Army NCC Special Entry 2025 gives NCC cadets a special chance to join as an officer without giving any written exam. Selected candidates will directly attend the SSB Interview. This year, there are 76 vacancies for both men and women, and selected candidates will join as Lieutenants.

Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)
- Nationality:
- Indian citizen, or
- Nepal citizen, or
- Person of Indian origin who came from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, or some African countries to settle in India.
- Education:
- Graduate degree from a recognised university.
- NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders must have served at least 2-3 years in NCC and have at least a ‘B’ grade.
- Wards of battle casualties don’t need the NCC ‘C’ Certificate.
- Age Limit:
- 19 to 25 years as on 1 Jan 2026 (Born between 2 Jan 2001 and 1 Jan 2007).
- Physical Fitness:
- Men: Run 2.4 km in 10 min 30 sec, 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, 6 pull-ups.
- Women: Run 2.4 km in 13 min, 15 push-ups, 25 sit-ups, 2 pull-ups.
- Both must know basic swimming.
Salary and Benefits
- Starting basic pay: ₹56,100 per month.
- Total yearly package: ₹17-18 lakhs approx.
- Extra allowances like:
- Military Service Pay: ₹15,500/month
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- Transport Allowance
- Field Area Allowances (extra pay for tough locations)
- Free medical facilities, CSD canteen, travel discounts, army housing, pension after retirement.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting of Applications: Based on NCC grade and graduation marks.
- SSB Interview: 5 days of tests in 2 stages:
- Stage 1: OIR test + Picture Perception & Discussion Test.
- Stage 2: Psychology tests, group tasks, personal interview.
- Medical Exam: Only recommended candidates will go through a full medical check.
- Final Merit List: Based on SSB marks. Selected candidates join Officers Training Academy (OTA) Chennai.
